Following the success of last year’s call MAV endorses and promotes once again “CORREOS” PROPOSAL Project by the artist Belén Franco, in order to reinforce the visibility of women artists in the art system.

The call begins on the 10th of June and the deadline for submissions is the 10th of October 2011.

In order to reinforce the visibility of women artists in the visual arts system MAV endorses and promotes “CORREOS” PROPOSAL Project by the artist and MAV member Belén Franco.

The objective of the Project is to call artists, curators, critics, researchers and gallerists to bombard MACBA library with catalogues, brochures, publications, regardless format and size or edition, concerning the work of women artists in visual arts:

We may count on MACBA Documentation Centre interest, where they are already developing a line of study concerning art and feminism and art and gender.

Participate and encourage other professionals to participate, so that the Action can be overwhelming. Here below you can download instructions and all additional information.

The support of AECID through its Network of Spanish Cultural Centres  will facilitate the sending of information documenting the work of   artists coming from or living in Latin America.

If you want to translate “Correos” Proposal into other languages to reach more women artists you can do so, provided you respect the dates and contents of the project.

Remember that the 2011 call begins on the 10th of June and the deadline for submissions end 10th October 2011.
